Outhouses

This is an alternative to the dug outhouse. Have some buckets, don’t dig under the outhouse. Have a small door at the back to remove the bucket. Another bucket inside the outhouse to hold leaves and other vegetation.

After useing the outhouse into the bucket, add a layer of leaves and other. everyday or so, take the bucket and dump it onto a compost pile well away from the house. The heat generated by the soil will break it down, and sterilize it so that you have a very rich mixture for your garden the next year. Don’t use lime, you don’t need it.
